Shopping trends is the biggest marketing deploy to happen in the shopping world. If a store knows what is in right now then they'll have the advantage of outselling the competetion. Since everyone wants what the other person is wearing then the company will be able to sell more stuff because they have the advantage of having the trend/clothes first.
